Every year, my children’s school honors our veterans with a Veteran’s Day program. And every year I find my eyes welled up with tears of gratitude as former servicemen and servicewomen in attendance share their branch, years of service, and who they represent at our school.
I’m not a crier. But the thought of someone loving our country, our freedom, and our people enough to risk their lives to defend our way of life is overwhelming. It’s even more so when you consider how young these men and women were when they entered the service and how it impacted their lives for better and for worse.
Memorial Day is huge for me, as it is for so many. But not nearly as much as it is for the family and friends left behind after their loved one sacrificed his or her life for our country.
How can we possibly honor our fallen heroes enough?
The answer is obvious and yet profound: We can’t.
But that doesn’t mean we don’t try.
So Apollo Design Technology® is here today to do just that – we want to try to say thank you to the men and women who gave their lives for our nation, and to say thank you to their surviving family and friends. You, too, have given your all.
