RemedyLIVE’s Texteractive annual fundraiser took place earlier this month.
Apollo Design® donated the illuminated TEXTERACTIVE letters lining the front of the stage, creating a stunning focal point for the uniquely interactive evening. The tables were decorated in purple hues with laser-crafted brain bookends — also designed by Apollo — to unify the night’s theme, “Understanding the Teenage Brain.”
RemedyLIVE is a one-of-a-kind online organization that engages youth nationwide in meaningful conversations through technology. RemedyLIVE’s SoulMedics, i.e., a staff of trained listeners, help break the silence of secret struggles, letting the “chatters” know they are not alone. Anyone can chat anonymously 24/7 over the website or by texting 494949.
With videos like Olivia’s story on RemedyLIVE.com, their outreach goes beyond chats to provide useful information for a variety of mental health issues.
Joel Nichols, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer for Apollo, proudly serves on the Board of Directors. Joel first learned about RemedyLIVE from a friend who introduced him to Executive Director Clinton Faupel.
“RemedyLIVE has a great group of people reaching our teens,” shares Joel. “I’m continually surprised at the struggles teens face today. It’s a lot tougher than the over-40 crowd understands. Teen suicide is the second leading cause of death among U.S. teenagers.” RemedyLIVE wants to help end this trend.
Katelyn Johnson, Director of Staff and Operations, emailed Joel after the event. “The letters and bookends were wonderful and a huge hit! We were so excited as they came through the door,” wrote Katelyn. “Thank you and the team for making this happen. It was the centerpiece of the night.”
Apollo Design® is proud to have donated the illuminated TEXTERACTIVE letters and brain bookends for this worthy event.
We are grateful to everyone who came to support us this year, and who give so generously to keep RemedyLIVE moving forward to those who need us. We continue to have meaningful conversations with those looking to share their secret struggles, and we will make great strides in the coming days to help break the stigma surrounding mental health.
