Tip From Our Tech Department
Our tech department is here to help you with your questions. Many of the questions can be found in the manuals, but sometimes a human voice can go a long way. One of the common questions they get is: Why run a return line from the last device back to the power supply?
Dave Stauss, Apollo technician, responds,
“This is a common question and answer is twofold. First, it creates a current loop to maintain the 24VDC line voltage across the system, reducing voltage drops that cause unwanted resets. Second, it terminates the data signal, preventing DMX reflections.”
